likely是“可能”的意思，not likely就是不可能。“不太可能”和“不可能”只是語氣上有所不同，“不太可能”的語氣還是偏輕了些，一般英語用“may not”之類的來表達(dá)這些語氣輕的。所以“不可能”是“not likely”比較恰當(dāng)?shù)姆g。
